AMBITION

Ambition without action is meaningless and in defiance of the word.

People, me included, have considered themselves ambitions because of big dreams and ideas of changing the world. But just thinking of doing things is irrelevant.

Just thinking of lifting weights won't make your muscles bigger.

Thinking of working won't improve your bank account.

I can have thoughts of making the world a better place, becoming my best self, and accomplishing everything I can think of.

But, if someone were to show you somebody who plays video games and eats junk food all day, who doesn't have a job and doesn't commit himself to anything, no rational, right-minded person would consider that individual to be ambitious. It doesn't matter what goes on his head. And there are lives lived inside the mind, I've lived plenty myself. But objectively, none of that is real.

You can be considered ambitious with great action but little thought.

You can't be ambitious with great thought but no action.

I refrain from considering myself or anybody else who doesn't wake up and get after their goals to be ambitious, and you shouldn't either. The name of the game of life is action. Everything else doesn't exist. Now it's important to strategize, but you strategize and plan for the action. If you don't act, nothing will ever get done. No progress will be made.

The best way to accomplish your goals and become the person you want to become is to start today. Regardless of excuses, regardless of the thoughts you're having about being tired, not being able to do it because of x y and z. Start. Act. Move! NOW! Wake up and get moving.
